Wedding notions

My daughter is getting married next month, and as we're both avid knitters, I want to include knitting/wool/crochet somewhere in there!  She is having her bridal bouquet wrapped in handspun (by me) Dorset Horn wool, and I cam eup with another couple of ideas today.  I'll knit the 'congratulations' bunting in purple (part of the colour theme), and the rainbow cotton will be crocheted into little jackets for an assortment of jam jars for flowers on the tables at the afternoon tea reception.  Will need to get a crack on tomorrow though, wedding is 19th April!

Driftwood and knitting

I found this on FB, by a talented lady from Shetland called Julie Irvine and had to share. Simple Shetland lace and driftwood - not seen anything quite so naturally pretty in a long time.

Stripey pinky socks

For me this time!

Knitted in Crofter Baby, that I found half price in the local wool shop, so came in under £6. Pleased with them, will be lovely and warm.

Emergency knitting

My friend's lad needs a Where's wally hat for Thursday, so she messaged me on Fb and here it is. Stayed up late to get it finished for tomorrow when she comes over for coffee, but found a fascinating old documentary from the 70s to watch whilst knitting :)
