Rainbow hat

Just finished this off tonight for a ranibow themed swap over at the Creative Living forum:

I've not been a huge fam of knitting 'tape' yarns before, but this one was really nice to knit with, slightly stretchy, so will keep its shape really well. Still have another ball and a bit left, not sure what to do with it, might knit a hat for myself! lol

Feather and fan scarf

An old favourite of mine, knitted many times; this in a shaded pure wool, lovely to knit with. For sale in my online shop Pocaid:

Erin

This is a beautiful pattern from Louisa Harding's new book 'Knitting in the Details'. I started it eysterday, too it out in the car, and due to a fortuituous very long detour, got the body of it done before I got home, and the crown last night; embroidered the daisies this afternoon. Very pleased with it :)

Nettle dyed shawl

Finally got around to finishng this today lol Typical of a UFO, all it needed was the ends of the border joining and the ends darned in,now done. Elizabeth Zimmerman pattern from her Knitter's  Almanac. It's almost 30'' across. I knitted it in lamswool, gleaned from a long ago visit to the Scrapstore, then washed it, and dyed it whole with nettles, alum mordant. Lidght unevenness due to dyeing it whole instead of yarn first, but not unattractive, and an intrinsic part of the process of handmade. I love it. :)
